Mission
In Response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.
Our mission is embodied in the phase:
Releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name
And this we do in partnership with local Evangelical churches in the Philippines. We now have
320 church partners coming from 17 different denominations.
Our core strategy is the Christian holistic development of children in poverty through sponsorship. Today, more than 54,000 Filipino boys and girls from 0-21 years old are being nurtured, educated, developed, equipped and disciples.
Their sponsors come from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and South Korea. Compassion is Christ-centered and child-focused. Its core values are integrity, excellence, stewardship and dignity. Out stakeholders are the children and their families, our church partners, sponsors, donors and supporting churches, and our staff.
