Child Survival Program

Rescuing, nurturing and disciplining little ones. Intervening before tragedy strikes.
Thousands of children around the Philippines die before their fifth birthday because of preventable causes such as malnutrition, malaria, and pneumonia. Compassion’s Child Survival program is here to help our children survive and thrive. CSP starts as early as we can enrol a mother in the program, even before the child is born. CSP provides nutrition, medical assistance, parental education and social support for mothers and caregivers to help out children survive the first few years of life. The program serves children up through the age of three when they can hopefully be registered into the Child Development through Sponsorship Program.
The Child Survival Program:
- Prevents illness by giving mothers regular prenatal check-ups and young children immunizations
- Helps children get a healthy start and grow strong by providing nutritious food staples
- Gives children mental and physical stimulation activities to improve and develop motor skills
- Empowers mothers, offering literacy and economic training to help them provide better for their families
There are now more than 30 church partners with CSP in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
